NewMatwork Match

Find someone to train with.

Matwork matches you with nearby training partners who do your art, want to practice the same things, and are free when you are. Agree on a session, train, and it lands in your log.

Training log for BJJ, boxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, judo and more. Match is 18+.

Matwork Match

Matched on what you'll actually do together.

Not just who's nearby. Matwork looks at your art, what you each want to practice, how hard you want to go, and when you're both free.

  1. 1

    Tell it how you train

Pick your arts, then the activities you're up for: drilling, pad work, positional rounds, live sparring. Set an intensity limit for each art.

  2. 2

    See where your weeks overlap

Every profile shows the days you're both free, so you only see people you can actually train with this week.

  3. 3

    Agree on a session

Propose a time inside your shared availability. They accept, counter or decline. Once it's done, it prefills your training log.

The overlap is the point.

The scheduler only offers times when you're both free, and only the activities and intensity you've both agreed to. Future sessions never count toward your stats until they've happened.

Your rules, both ways

Built for training, not swiping.

Mutual by default

Nobody can message you until you've both asked to train. Block or unmatch anytime.

Separate practice and live preferences

Choose who you drill with and who you spar or roll with. Both people's settings must allow it, and they're checked on the server.

Private stays private

Hide your gender and it's never shown. Your location is rounded on your phone before it's sent, and others only see a distance.

Nothing gets turned up for you

Intensity limits and preferences are never widened automatically, even when there are few matches nearby.

The training log

One log for every art you train.

BJJ on Monday, boxing on Wednesday, judo on the weekend. Matwork keeps each art's ranks, goals and measures apart, and puts the totals together.

FAQ

Questions

What is Matwork Match?

Matwork Match finds training partners near you who do the same martial art, want to practice the same things at the same intensity, and are free at the same times. When you both want to train, you agree on a session in the app and it lands in your training log once it happens.

Which martial arts does Matwork support?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, wrestling, judo, karate, taekwondo and MMA, plus any custom art you add with your own named activities. Each art keeps its own rank, goals and intensity limit.

Can I choose who I train with?

Yes. You set who you want to practice with and who you want to spar or roll live with, separately. Both people’s preferences have to allow the match, they are checked on the server, and Matwork never widens them for you. If you keep your gender private, it is never shown to anyone.

Is Matwork free?

Matwork is free to download on the App Store.

Who can use Matwork Match?

Match is for people 18 and over and is turned off until you set it up. You can hide your profile from Discover at any time without losing your matches or your training log.

Where is Matwork Match available?

Match is launching first around north Austin, Texas — Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Georgetown and Pflugerville — with more areas to follow. The training log works everywhere.

Your next training partner is already free on Saturday.
